4/4/13 - New 2013 HCFA-1500
The NUCC is in the process of approving a revised HCFA-1500 claim form.
Beginning June 1, 2013, we will offer a new, updated edition of the software.
It is mandatory by October 1, 2013, when the prior version is discountinued.

2012 orders are given a $50 discount.

Telephone Downtime and Labor Day Closings
On Friday, August 27, 2010 our telephone support, which is usually available between 8 AM to 4 PM EST, will be unavailable, as our offices are receiving new telephone wiring and undergoing restructuring.
Moreover, on Thursday, August 26, 2010, our telephone support may have to close prior to 4 PM EST for the same reasoning.
During these days or any time after hours, you may contact our 24-hour Email Support Staff. They are available 7 days a week to answer all of your questions and concerns.

Additionally, our offices will be closed on September 6 and 7, 2010 for the Labor Day holiday.
New Secure HTTPS Certificate
On July 9, 2010 we have changed our HTTPS certificate from http://www.ub-92software.com, our old company name, to http://www.ub-04software.com.
This is an effort to keep our site even more secure, protecting our clients and users when they order the software, as well as when they view their comprehensive order overview.

New Friday Hours
On January 15, 2010, we have changed our Friday hours from 8 AM - 4 PM PST (11 AM - 7 PM EST) to 5 AM - 1 PM PST (8 AM - 4 PM EST).
We are shifting more of our operational structure to the East Coast, meaning on Fridays, the East Coast office will primarily be handling all calls, emails, etc.
This change should be seamless, but if you have any questions, feel free to contact us. Our hours have been updated on the Support & FAQs page, as well as on the Contact Us page.

10 Day Free Trial
All of our software downloads now have a 10 day free trial. This is a three day increase from our previous offering of 7 days. We believe these additional days are necessary to give prospective users more time to test the products.

Clearinghouse Capabilities
Recently, UB-04 Software, Inc. expanded its corporate structure from software design, production, and sales to include EDI clearinghouse capabilities, which will further enhance and streamline the entire medical billing process. This will allow clients to submit primary and secondary claims, as well as many other types, directly through the website in UB-04 Software’s ‘Print Image’ format that will then be processed in the standard EDI 837 ANSI format and sent to the proper payers.
The Netwerkes and UB-04 Software, Inc. partnership will allow users to transmit, track, and access their claims from a single location, eliminating confusion. Additionally, the EDI clearinghouse partnership allows a vast reduction in per claim costs, which allows users to experience premium pricing that is not otherwise available on the open market. In essence, this will give clients real-time information about their claim submissions and allow them to obtain their money in an expedited fashion at a reasonable rate.
UB-04 Software’s EDI format software products, the HCFA-1500 (CMS 1500) EDI Clearinghouse software, the UB-04 (CMS 1450) EDI Clearinghouse software, and the Dental Association (J400) Fill & Print EDI software, will all be fully compatible with the new EDI clearinghouse capabilities. However, users are not required to utilize UB-04 Software’s software to gain access to these discounted prices; they need only have access to software that utilizes a ‘Print Image’ format. The synergy between the two companies is seen as a great step forward, giving expanded capacity to UB-04 Software, while at the same time allow customers to benefit.
Access/Excel Compatibility
We have added Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel compatibilities to all of our software. Users will be able to Import From and Export To either of these programs from the File Menu. The Import From feature should allow large databases to be quickly and easily converted to claim forms and the Export To feature should allow users to catalog all of their completed claims in a single location. Security Login Features
We have added a Security feature to the software that will allow further security measures to enhance HIPAA Compliance through Privacy and Security. For specific information on this function, consult the Software Reference Guide from the Help menu.
